Hello friends,
I am so sorry for my long absence. After Peter's hospitalisation and surgery in December, he had a six weeks recovery period. And on the very last day of that six weeks period, I suffered pain around my neck and some in the chest as well as mild breathing difficulties. Suddenly I found myself in hospital and was there for eight days. It seemed I had fluid around the heart and some on the lungs and was treated with very strong anti-inflammatory drugs, which took away my appetite. Recovery was slow and it is only in the last few weeks I have been able to cope with a full diet.
I have missed my writing, but am just starting to do a little bit more now. I still haven't written the last chapter of GIANT FRIENDS. It will be coming soon, I promise.
How about all these Australian floods – we are in the thick of it here in south-east Queensland although personally no flooding close to us. Our patio looks very washed clean though, and there are lots of little leaves and sticks etc which have been washed in by the torrent of water flowing through.
Please keep reading – I love seeing people from overseas and Australia reading my stuff and am very grateful for all the positive comments.
I hope to start work on rejigging Woodheap and West Wind soon to make it more readable.
Finally, a very belated happy New Year to everybody; and I trust you're all sticking to those New Year's resolutions. Good luck – Giddy
